Brownsberger sets team for potential campaign

Boston, MA –State Representative Will Brownsberger has set his campaign team for a potential run for the 2nd Suffolk & Middlesex senate district, should Senator Steve Tolman step down after being elected president of the AFL-CIO.

 

Brownsberger’s campaign team comprises a number of local professionals with many years of experience managing political campaigns. Kate Foster, a veteran of the Coakley and Tsongas campaigns, and a Belmont native, will serve as campaign manager. Eric Steinert, director of annual giving at the Newton-Wellesley Hospital Charitable Foundation and a development professional with more than a decade of experience raising money in both education and healthcare, will serve as finance chair. Under his direction, Brownsberger’s campaign has raised more than $10,000 in the past week alone.

Scott Ferson and Conor Yunits of the Liberty Square Group will manage the campaign’s communications. Ferson, a former press secretary to Senator Ted Kennedy, has handled campaign press for Lt. Governor Tim Murray, Congressman Stephen Lynch, and State Senator Eileen Donoghue. Yunits, a political blogger and former director of communications for the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, has handled campaign press for Fall River Mayor Will Flanagan and State Representative Tony Cabral.

 

Brownsberger looks forward to holding “Meet and Greet” coffee sessions around the district in early October.
