Aren Platt

As Senior Vice President of Campaign Strategies, Aren Platt provides strategic fundraising, campaign management and political counsel to a variety of clients throughout Pennsylvania. Mr. Platt has broad experience working with candidates at the federal, state and local levels as a campaign consultant, finance director and campaign manager. As a campaign professional, Mr. Platt has a comprehensive understanding of the critical intersection of fundraising, politics and messaging, as well as a keen sense of what it takes to win elections.

In 2006, Mr. Platt was part of the finance team for former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell's re-election, helping to set the current record for campaign funds raised by a single candidate in the state. Following that, he had a senior role on the campaign team for the re-election of Congressman Chris Carney (PA-10) in 2008—the year that Rep. Carney was labeled the second-most-vulnerable Democrat in the country three weeks before Election Day, and went on to win by a margin of 12 points.

Mr. Platt’s campaign experiences include being part of the senior staff on City Council and citywide races in Philadelphia, managing statewide campaigns, consulting to the Democratic State Senate caucus in Pennsylvania and working with advocacy groups to expand their presence in the state. Through this experience, he has crafted successful campaign strategies; raised tens of millions of dollars; and focused political and donor groups including organized labor, state and county political organizations, campaign donors, and issue-oriented groups, to win elections.

Prior to his career in politics, Mr. Platt worked in marketing, providing him with a unique perspective on candidate communications. During this time, he helped craft the messaging for a wide variety of clients in the for-profit and non-profit sectors including the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, Haverford College and Philadelphia's Center City District.

Mr. Platt currently lives with his wife Monica in the Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia.
