Adam Hurtubise is a Senior Vice President at the Liberty Square Group. A veteran crisis communicator and political strategist, Adam has over twenty years of experience in politics, government, transportation and public relations.
Adam was most recently Chief of Staff at the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority after serving in a similar role with the Highway Division at the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. He was also Communications Director and Deputy Communications Director at MassDOT, where he was a senior advisor to three Secretaries of Transportation and lead spokesman for MassDOT and multiple transportation agencies.
Before joining MassDOT and the MBTA, Adam was Director of Public Relations at Elderhostel and Road Scholar. For more than five years, he also ran his own public relations, political consulting and crisis communications practice, advising candidates, NGOs, attorneys, issue advocacy groups and educational organizations. He has worked on dozens of campaigns at the local, state and federal levels.
An experienced team player with deep roots at the intersection of politics, government and communications, Adam earned his Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, from Boston College, and his Juris Doctor from the New England School of Law. He is an attorney, licensed in Massachusetts and the District of Columbia. A native of Cooperstown, New York, Adam lives in Medford with his wife, Lisa, a high school English Teacher and Assistant Principal, and their three children.
